For over 15 years I have been helping families and their loved ones address the difficult issues that arise from addiction. I have a unique perspective on the process with over 31 years of sobriety. My experience allows me to create meaningful change within individuals and families coping with the effects of addiction.

South Mountain Addiction Services understands how difficult it is to seek help for addiction. It is a process that is misunderstood by many.  My goal is to help others find the same peace, serenity, and hope that I found in my own recovery. I have been helping people overcome addiction issues for over 27 years.

 

I have a unique perspective on the process with over 34 years of sobriety. I offer a safe, discreet and non-judgmental environment that allows you to explore a different way to live and provides an opportunity for freedom from the destructive forces of addiction.

 

South Mountain Addiction Services provides families with comprehensive, professional, and discreet intervention services. South Mountain Addiction Services helps families who have a loved one struggling with addiction.

 

The goal in this process is to provide not only the person suffering from alcohol or drug addiction with a better life but also for the family to find peace in the process. I can help families, friends, and anyone who is affected by alcohol or drug addiction find a path to living a life of recovery.

 

I understand that alcoholism and addiction are not isolated. They affect people across the country and world, no matter where you live, South Mountain Addiction Services are available to get you and your loved one the help you need.

My Story

I entered the world of recovery in 1990 due to my own alcohol addiction. Upon completing treatment, I then volunteered to be a Substance Abuse Counselor in the Navy. I spent my last years in the Navy helping other addicts/alcoholics. I bring a great deal of recovery experience to South Mountain Addiction Services. My 21 years in the U.S Navy were invaluable to understanding the importance of boundaries, accountability, and structure in life and recovery skills. I have a great passion for helping others understand and find a life that is full of hope.

 

I am a Master's Level Therapist and a Licensed Substance Abuse Counselor in Arizona and Massachusetts. I am also a Master Addiction Counselor and a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor in Arizona. I hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from the University of Maryland and a Master’s Degree in Professional Counseling from Liberty University.

 

I have been working in the field of addiction since 1997 and have 24 years of experience working with people who suffer from alcohol or drug addiction as well as working with their families and understanding the impact that addiction has on the family.
